Ingredients

Total Servings: 8

  • 8 Dill pickle spears
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 Large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying

Steps

  1. Pat pickles dry with paper towel; set aside.
  2. Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, seasoned salt, and ground black pepper in a small bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs until beaten.
  4. In a third bowl, add panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Take one pickle spear and thoroughly coat in the seasoned flour mix.
  6. Dip floured pickle in beaten egg wash.
  7. Dip pickle back into seasoned flour mix for second coat, then dip again in the egg wash.
  8. Roll pickle in breadcrumbs and press softly so crumbs stick.
  9. Repeat for all spears. Place pickles in fridge for 15 minutes to allow coating to stick.
  10. Heat vegetable oil in frying pan to 350.
  11. Place coated pickles in hot oil and fry for 2 minutes or until breading is a golden brown.
  12. Remove from oil and let drain on a cooling rack or on a paper towel.
  13. Serve while warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
