Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
Total Servings: 12
- 2 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, and baking soda. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 3 minutes with an electric mixer.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and beat until incorporated.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Add chocolate chips: Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula until evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough: Use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Leave about 2 inches between each cookie to allow for spreading.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden, but the centers are still soft.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
